Experience in service of those who transform.

I work with leaders, companies and social organizations that need to see more clearly, make better decisions and turn decisions into execution.

Social impact

Mentor at ISHALC: executive experience in service of human security.

What ISHALC is

Founded in 1999, the Human Security Institute for Latin America and the Caribbean promotes Human Security, a people-centered UN approach that connects protection, dignity, opportunity and resilience. The institute turns initiatives into structured, governable, fundable and measurable projects, brings together organizations, universities, companies and governments across the region, offers extension courses and hosts the Human Security Awards, which recognize Latin American organizations and leaders.

Why it matters

Many good causes never become projects able to raise funds and prove results. ISHALC helps close that gap: it reads the vulnerabilities and capacities of each territory, aligns initiatives with the 2030 Agenda and with funders, and measures impact in people reached. That is how vulnerabilities become capacities.

As a mentor at ISHALC, the Human Security Institute for Latin America and the Caribbean, I work on designing programs aligned with the United Nations Trust Fund for Human Security (UNTFHS) and Brazil’s Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC).

The work connects the management discipline of a global organization with the reality of social organizations in the region: turning good causes into well-designed, fundable programs that can demonstrate results.

How I contribute

  1. Program design Structuring proposals with a clear problem, beneficiaries, objectives, activities and timeline.
  2. Alignment with funders Adapting programs to the criteria and priorities of UNTFHS and MDIC, with attention to feasibility and approval risks.
  3. Costs and impact Budget review, cost per person reached and indicators that show the value created.
  4. Mentoring leaders Support for those who lead the proposing organizations, from conception to execution and accountability.
Social impact also requires strategy, governance and execution discipline.

Mental health

Mental health is also a leadership issue.

Pressure, change and responsibility are part of professional life. The way an organization deals with them shapes people’s experience. It is because I believe in this conversation that I serve as a mentor and ambassador of MOOD, a Brazilian corporate mental health platform.

In content produced with MOOD, I share reflections on leadership and mental health in the everyday life of companies. It is not about a single answer to complex situations. It is about making room for better questions and more conscious decisions.

The topic demands listening, commitment and room for people to work without having to stop being who they are.
